Islamabad, Oct 25: Gold Prices Drop for Second Consecutive Day. Following a seven-day record-breaking run that saw it soar to over Rs. 285,000 per tola on Wednesday, the price of gold in Pakistan fell for the second day in a row on Friday.

The All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA) released data showing that the price of 10 grams of gold Prices dropped by Rs. 686 to Rs. 242,027, while the price of 24 carat gold dropped by Rs. 800 per tola to Rs. 282,300.

On October 15, the price of the precious metal was Rs. 275,000. Over the next seven sessions, it increased by more than Rs. 10,000 a tola, reaching a record Rs. 285,400 on October 23. It has since dropped by Rs. 3,100 per tola.

Spot gold fell $8 on the global market to $2,726 an ounce on Friday, about $30 less than the record high of $2,758.37 set on Wednesday.
