Islamabad, Oct 7: On the first day of the week, the price of gold in Pakistan increased slightly, staying just over Rs. 275,00 per tola.

According to the All-Sindh Sarafa Jewellers Association, the price of 24 carat gold climbed by Rs. 200 per tola to Rs. 275,700. The cost of 10 grams of 24 carat gold increased by Rs. 171 to Rs. 236,368.

Gold is currently trading at a slight discount to its all-time high of Rs. 277,000 per ounce. Silver prices per tola and per ten grams stayed at Rs. 2,614.88 and Rs. 3,050, respectively. According to the Association, the price of gold on the global market went up $3, to $2,656 from $2,653.
