Islamabad, Aug 18: Following modest gains on Friday, the price of gold increased by Rs. 2,500 per tola in Pakistan on Saturday, reaching an all-time high once more.
The price of 24 carats of gold increased by Rs. 2,500 per tola to Rs. 260,200, while the price of 10 kilos increased by Rs. 2,144 to Rs. 223,080, according to figures released by the Karachi Sarafa Association.
According to the Sarafa Association, the local market’s price of gold has been kept Rs. 4,500 per tola below its true cost.This week, spot gold increased 3.1% on the global market to $2,507 per ounce. On Saturday, the rate of 10 grams increased by Rs. 43 per tale to Rs. 2,529, while the rate of 24-carat silver increased by Rs. 50 per tola to Rs. 2,950.
