Islamabad, Oct 29: Gold prices in Pakistan had a significant upward trend on Tuesday, mirroring worldwide market trends, following a minor decline the day before.
The All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA) released data showing that the price of 24-karat gold per tola rose by Rs1,600 in the local market, reaching Rs285,000.
Likewise, the cost of 10 grams of 24-karat gold increased by Rs1,372 to Rs244,342.
The price of gold increased by $16 on Tuesday on the global market as well, hitting $2,755 per ounce with a $20 premium.
Silver prices, however, remained steady at Rs3,350 per tola in the local market, unaffected by the recent changes in gold prices.
