Islamabad, Oct 24: Gold Rate in Pakistan Declines After Seven Consecutive Record-Breaking Days. The price of gold finally drops as its seven-day record-breaking run comes to an end.
Following a record-breaking run that saw it soar to over Rs. 285,000 per tola, the price of gold in Pakistan dropped on Thursday. The All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA) released data showing that the price of 10 grams of gold dropped by Rs. 1,971 to Rs. 242,713, while the price of 24 carat gold dropped by Rs. 2,300 per tola to Rs. 283,100.
On October 15, the price of the precious metal was Rs. 275,000. Over the next seven sessions, it increased by more than Rs. 10,000 per tola, reaching its highest point ever on October 23 at Rs. 285,400.
By 0740 GMT, spot gold was up 0.7 percent to $2,735.26 an ounce on the global market, which was just below Wednesday’s record high of $2,758.37. At $2,747.90, U.S. gold futures were up 0.7%.
