Islamabad, Sep 7: Google is expanding its Virtual Try-On tool to consider more clothing options, as it continues to refine its AI technology to offer more accurate depictions of how items will look on different body types.

The Virtual Try-On function, which was first introduced for men’s and women’s tops last year, enhances the online shopping experience by using artificial intelligence to display how clothes fit on a range of body shapes, down to the “shadows, wrinkles, and draping.”

With the most recent upgrade, buyers can now see how various styles would seem on real models in a range of sizes when it comes to dresses.

According to Google, “If you’re in the United States, just use Search to look for dresses, then click on any style that has a ‘try on’ badge.” From there, you may view the item’s appearance on a variety of real models, available in sizes ranging from XXS to XXXL. To obtain a better idea of how the garment looks, choose a model who speaks to you. To purchase what you’ve found, click on to the retailer’s website.

With this advancement, Google’s virtual shopping capabilities take a big step ahead and provide customers a more accurate idea of how clothes would look on them. Informed decision-making while online purchasing is the goal, which may lessen the need for returns because of problems with fit or size.

While many people still prefer to shop in-store for specific goods, technologies like Virtual Try-On could improve the online shopping experience and lessen the annoyance of mail-order returns.

With intentions to roll out the new Virtual Try-On method more widely in the future, it is presently accessible in the US for a limited number of items.
