Islamabad, Sep 5: Google has officially made the source code for Android 15 available on the Android Open Source Project (AOSP), indicating that the most recent iteration of its mobile operating system will soon be available. This has also led to some intriguing discoveries regarding the features of Android 15.
A redesign of the Google Keyboard, also referred to as Gboard, the standard Android keyboard, is one of the upgrades included with the new operating system. The keyboard is being updated to increase the accuracy of autocorrect. Gboard can currently only autocorrect words or finish your sentences by assuming the next word, but eventually it should be able to do the same for sentences as a whole.
According to reports, users will be able to customize their typing experience with the next update by choosing whether they want autocorrect to correct full phrases or just specific words. Google is also taking care of the possibility of unintentional modifications to the Gboard customisation menu. At the moment, long-pressing and dragging the tools to the proper locations allows users to rearrange them in One-handed mode, Translate, and Resize.
Google is going to implement a specific “edit” button with a pencil icon to stop accidental changes. Before moving tools around, users must press this button, which provides an additional degree of security against unintentional changes.
Additionally, Google plans to simplify the process of switching between keyboards by implementing a keyboard switcher button. You can hold the keyboard switcher to alternate between language inputs, which will replace the current method of selecting between languages.
