Islamabad, Aug 6: Lt. Gen. (R) Moazzam Ejaz, HI (M), has been named by the government to be the new National Technology Council (NTC) Chairperson. The appointment was made by the HEC Chairman in his role as the Council’s Controlling Authority, and it will take effect on July 29, 2024.
Rector of the National University of Technology (NUTECH) in Islamabad, Lt. Gen. Moazzam Ejaz, will assume the role for a period of four years. His nomination is in accordance with Council Bylaw No. 3, which has been accepted.
According to HEC’s official notice “In accordance with Clause 3 of the Council’s approved Bylaws, the Chairman HEC, in his capacity as the Controlling Authority of the Council, has been pleased to appoint Lt. Gen. Moazzam Ejaz, HI (M) (Retd.), (Rector, National University of Technology (NUTECH), Islamabad), as the Chairperson of the National Technology Council (NTC) for a period of four (04) years beginning on July 29, 2024.” It was also made clear that the Chairperson’s only compensation for his services would be an honorarium and any allowances that may be granted
