Islamabad, Feb 14: In a significant reshuffle within the federal bureaucracy, the government has made key appointments and transfers at top administrative levels. Nadeem Aslam Chaudhry, who had been serving as the Chief Secretary of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, has been appointed as the new Secretary of the Board of Investment.

Chaudhry’s transfer comes as part of a broader effort to optimize leadership within various government sectors, with the federal government seeking to streamline operations and bring fresh perspectives into different administrative positions.

His predecessor, Rahim Hayat Qureshi, who had been overseeing the Board of Investment, has been removed from the role and instructed to report to the Establishment Division. Qureshi’s removal marks a significant leadership change at a time when the federal government is focusing on enhancing the efficiency of its investment and economic strategies.

Alongside this change, Shahab Ali Shah has been appointed as the new Chief Secretary of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Shah, a Grade-21 officer, brings with him a wealth of experience from his previous posting in the Balochistan government. His new role is seen as pivotal in shaping the governance landscape of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, especially as the province navigates challenges related to administration and development.

The official notifications confirming these appointments and transfers have been issued by the Establishment Division, solidifying the government’s commitment to ensuring the right leadership in key positions. The reshuffling within the federal bureaucracy is part of ongoing efforts to strengthen administrative frameworks across the country, with a particular focus on bolstering economic growth, investment, and governance in provinces.

These changes come at a critical time, as the government seeks to improve operational efficiency and address the challenges faced by various departments.
