The Head of the Saudi National Centre of Meteorology has issued a warning about extreme heat, for the coming Hajj trip next month.Ayman Ghulam said that the Hajj season, which runs from June 24 to June 29, will fall during the hottest month of the year.

“In order for them to take precautions during this year’s Hajj, it was necessary to be in contact with the agencies in question and notify them of the weather forecasts at the holy places,” Ghulam said.

The intense heat will be a problem for the millions of Muslims who plan to go to Makkah for the Hajj. Authorities in Saudi Arabia are getting ready for possibly record-breaking turnout following an increase in Umrah pilgrims during Ramadan.

However, Pakistan’s minister of religious affairs has asked travelers to improve their perception of the nation when they do the Hajj in 2024. As part of the pre-Hajj flying operations, Pakistani pilgrims have started landing in Madinah since May. 93 planes have brought 22,696 pilgrims from Pakistan to Madinah, according to the Ministry of Religious Affairs (MoRA).
