Islamabad, Jan 29: The Pakistan Airport Authority (PAA) has laid out detailed preparations for the 2025 Hajj operation, focusing on ensuring a smooth and efficient process. New Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) have been issued for employees who will play an integral role in the pilgrimage. These guidelines include eligibility criteria, application processes, and crucial dates, all aimed at enhancing the organization and effectiveness of the operation.

As per the latest directives, employees from SG Group 1 to 11 are eligible to apply for Hajj duty, provided they meet certain requirements. These include having at least five years of service with the PAA and being medically fit to handle the physically demanding nature of the operation.

The selection process will take place on February 4, 2025, at the PAA headquarters. Employees wishing to apply must submit their applications through their respective department directors, airport managers, or branch offices.

It is important to note that employees assigned to Hajj duty will not be allowed to perform the pilgrimage themselves. This policy ensures that their full attention is dedicated to managing the operation and supporting the pilgrims.

Moreover, employees under investigation or facing disciplinary actions will be ineligible for Hajj duty, emphasizing the importance of maintaining discipline and professionalism during this critical time.

By establishing these guidelines, the PAA aims to streamline the Hajj operation, ensuring that all employees involved are well-prepared and capable of handling the complexities of this sacred duty. These measures reflect the commitment to delivering a successful and organized Hajj operation for both the employees and pilgrims.
