Islamabad, Oct 23: Harry Brook Still “Clueless” About Pindi Wicket Ahead of Crucial Test Match
Vice-captain Harry Brook of the England cricket team has said that he and his team are still unsure of how Rawalpindi wicket will perform in the third test match against Pakistan.
Speaking during a media session, the destructive batter admitted that the nature of playing surface is still a mystery for his side. ” God knows to be honest” was the 25-year-old’s reply when asked about his thoughts on the prepared pitch. “Everybody (that) goes and looks at the wicket and everybody says something different. So just wait and see. Hopefully it is like another other Pakistani pitch” he continued.
With the series deadlocked at one, everyone is watching to see how Rawalpindi’s playing surface will respond.
To create a turning pitch that will mimic the one used in Multan and play to Pakistan’s advantages, the curators have already resorted to creative techniques.
After selecting three front-line spinners for the game, England appears to share this opinion. According to reports, when Pakistan unveils its playing lineup today, it is prepared to take a different approach with one fewer spinner.
Harry Brook, meanwhile, will be hoping to recreate his magic from 2022 when he takes the field on Thursday. The Englishman currently leads the scoring books during this series courtesy of a triple-hundred in the first game. He was neutralized by a turner in the second but will be hoping for redemption in a stadium where he scored 240 runs across two innings in December 2022.
