Islamabad, Feb 14: The Higher Education Commission (HEC) of Pakistan has extended the suspension of admissions at Isra University, emphasizing that the restriction, which began in Fall 2022, remains in effect. The HEC’s decision covers the university’s main campus in Hyderabad, its sub-campuses in Islamabad and Karachi, and all affiliated units, including Isra Medical Colleges.
In a recent public notice, the HEC clearly stated that no admissions to any degree programs, including medical fields, will be accepted at the university until further notice. The commission reiterated that students who enroll in programs at Isra University from Fall 2022 onwards will face the consequences of unrecognized degrees, which will not be acknowledged by the HEC.

This warning highlights the importance of choosing accredited educational institutions, as degrees from unrecognized universities may severely impact students’ chances of employment and their future academic pursuits. The HEC advised students and parents to be cautious and stay informed through official communications to avoid enrolling in a program that may not meet the required standards.
The HEC continues to monitor the situation closely and has urged prospective students to keep updated on developments through reliable sources.
