Islamabad, Aug 21: The chief minister of Punjab declared during a ceremony on Wednesday that the Himmat card will be introduced gradually. Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has increased the amount of financial assistance for special people from Rs75,000 to Rs10,000 for the 65,000 special people.
Who are eligible?
A Himmat card will only be available to people who possess special persons certificates issued by the district or tehsil.
Every three months, the money will be deposited to the account of those who meet the eligibility requirements.
Anybody getting funding from a government agency, such as Benazir Income Support, will not be qualified.
Himmat Card bank details
In charge of providing financial services would be Bank of Punjab (BoP). Services from Bank of Punjab will cost Rs80.17 million.
The Punjab Social Welfare Bank will supply the specific individuals’ data. The funds must be withdrawn within 180 days of the transfer; if not, they will be reimbursed.
The project will be carried out with funding approved by the P&D Department totaling Rs658.1 million.
