Islamabad, Oct 31: Honor has doubled down with two flagship launches this year in response to the speed at which technology is developing.

Following the January launch of the Magic 6 series, the firm is now revealing the Honor Magic 7 series, which offers cutting-edge hardware improvements in a number of areas,

including a more potent chipset, bigger batteries, quicker charging times, and improved durability.

Design and Display

The Pro’s 6.8″ LTPO OLED screen has a remarkable HDR brightness of up to 5,000 nits, a smooth refresh rate of 1-120 Hz, and a resolution of 1,280 x 2,800 pixels.

The Magic 7 has a flat 6.78″ LTPO OLED display in the meantime.

A step up from the Magic 6 series, both versions are rated IP68/IP69, providing protection against dust, water, and even hot water jets.

While the Pro is available in Black, White, Gray, Blue, and Gold, the Magic7 is available in Black, White, Gray, Blue, and Gold.

Both panels feature high-frequency PWM dimming (4,320Hz) and have ultrasonic fingerprint readers.

Since it lacks a 3D face scanner like the Pro model,

the standard Honor Magic 7 simply features a tiny punch-hole cutout for the selfie camera, as seen in the pictures below.

Internals and Software

The recently released flagship Snapdragon 8 Elite CPU,

designed to improve AI applications and boost performance, powers the Honor Magic 7 and Magic 7 Pro.

Additionally, the Snapdragon 8 Elite offers improved GPU performance and far higher power efficiency.

Both phones lack a microSD card port but have up to 16 GB of RAM and 1 TB of storage.

Both phones will come with the latest Android 15, topped with Honors’ own magicOS 9.

Satellite connectivity is exclusively available through the Beidou system, effectively limiting its use to China.

Camera

On both variants, the primary camera component is still a 50MP 1/1.3″ sensor with OIS and variable aperture (f/1.4-f/2.0). With a 50MP sensor and a 12mm lens (122°),

the ultra-wide camera can capture close-up macro images.

Even in low light, a 50MP sensor combined with a 90° lens and 3D face scanner (available only on the Pro) allows for safe biometric unlocking for selfies.

With a big 1/1.4″ sensor behind a 60mm lens, the Pro model’s impressive 200MP telephoto camera—an improvement over the 180MP Magic 6 Pro—allows for a flexible 2.5x optical zoom that can be extended to 100x digitally.

Battery and Pricing

Magic 7 Pro 5,850 mAh battery that can be charged at 80W wireless and 100W wired.

The standard Magic 7 has the same rapid charging capabilities and a slightly smaller 5,650 mAh battery.

Pre-orders for the Magic 7 series are now being accepted for the Chinese market,

and the series will be available starting on November 8.

The Magic 7 and Pro models have prices of $630 and $800,

respectively, and come with up to 16 GB of RAM and 1 TB of storage.
