Islamabad, Nov 22: Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi has inaugurated the NPFD One Capital Park City, a long-awaited housing scheme for police personnel, marking the first such initiative in 25 years. Unveiled during a ceremony in Islamabad, the project aims to improve living conditions for police officers, their families, and the families of martyrs.
Speaking at the event, Naqvi emphasized that the scheme offers plots to police officers, families of fallen heroes, and those injured in the line of duty. “This initiative reflects our commitment to recognizing and supporting the sacrifices of law enforcement,” he stated. Naqvi also distributed plot allotment letters to police employees from various provinces.
The project, spearheaded by Managing Director Sabir Ahmed, is part of efforts to revitalize the National Police Foundation (NPF). Naqvi praised the Foundation’s profitability and pledged continued support for martyrs’ families and injured officers. Plans for a joint initiative between the NPF and the Capital Development Authority (CDA) were also announced, prioritizing families of martyrs and disabled officers.
Senior officials, including the Inspector Generals of Punjab and Islamabad Police, and Islamabad’s Chief Commissioner, lauded the initiative, underscoring its significance in improving the welfare of law enforcement personnel.
