Islamabad, Dec 23: Google has introduced an engaging interactive Doodle to commemorate December’s final Half Moon, observed on Sunday, December 22.

This Doodle provides a fun and educational way for users to explore lunar cycles.

It features a game where players pair different moon phases to complete cycles, showcasing the transitions between new and full moons.

Describing the game, Google stated, “This interactive Doodle celebrates December’s final Half Moon! This monthly card game challenges you to play against the moon and test your knowledge of lunar cycles.”

The game begins with a brief introduction to the significance of December’s Half Moon and rewards players with points for correctly matching moon phases.

Additionally, users can download a special wallpaper titled “Half Moon Rises” as a celestial bonus.

The game highlights the eight moon phases: new moon, waxing crescent, first quarter, waxing gibbous, full moon, waning gibbous, third quarter, and waning crescent.

The complete lunar cycle spans 29.5 days, making the game a creative way to connect with this natural phenomenon.

This Doodle is part of Google’s ongoing series celebrating lunar cycles. Earlier games, such as “Rise of the Half Moon,” were released in October and November.
