Islamabad, Oct 25: At the Al Amerat Cricket Ground in Oman, the Pakistan vs Sri lanka play in the opening semifinal of the ACC T20 Emerging Teams Asia Cup 2024.
The winner will reserve a ticket for the Sunday final. The game is scheduled on October 25 at 2:00 PM. While Sri Lanka advanced to the knockout stages as group winners after recording a higher net run-rate than Afghanistan, Shaheens will enter as the runners-up in Group B.
Mohammad Haris’ team recovered from an early defeat in their debut match against India to continue defending their title with two straight resounding victories against Oman and the United Arab Emirates. Their chances of making it to another final should be improved by the two resounding victories.
Mohammad Haris, the captain of Shaheens, has returned to form after struggling to make an impression in the first few games until hitting fifty in his most recent appearance. While Sufiyan Muqeem, Shahnawaz Dahani, and Ahmed Daniyal have been confident with the ball, Rohail Nazir and Arafat Minhas have also proven reliable down the order.
In order to comfortably guarantee their entrance, Pakistan would be expecting for another strong performance from them.
In the final, the victor will play either Afghanistan A or India A.
