Islamabad, Mar 1: Huawei has officially unveiled the Mate 70 Pro Premium Edition, set to launch in China on March 5. While the “Premium” label suggests upgrades, this variant actually features an underclocked chipset, making it more budget-friendly than the standard Mate 70 Pro.

Stunning Design and Immersive Display

The Mate 70 Pro Premium Edition boasts a 6.9-inch OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, ensuring a fluid and vibrant visual experience. Retaining the elegant design of its predecessor, the device sports a curved-edge screen and a sleek body. Available in four striking colors—Green, Purple, White, and Black—it offers a sophisticated aesthetic appeal.

Performance and Software

Unlike the standard Mate 70 Pro, which runs on the Kirin 9020 chipset, the Premium Edition features an underclocked version of the same processor. Geekbench benchmarks reveal a single-core score of 1,450 and a multi-core score of 3,793, positioning it in the mid-range performance category. Despite the toned-down processor, the phone still delivers smooth multitasking with 12GB of RAM. It runs on Huawei’s HarmonyOS, ensuring a seamless experience, though it lacks Google services.

This versatile camera system ensures high-quality images in various lighting conditions, making it an excellent choice for photography enthusiasts.

Long-Lasting Battery with Fast Charging

Equipped with a 5,500mAh battery, the Mate 70 Pro Premium Edition supports 100W wired and 80W wireless charging. These fast-charging capabilities allow users to quickly power up their device, minimizing downtime.

Pricing and Availability

The Premium Edition is positioned as a cost-effective alternative to the standard Mate 70 Pro. Pricing details are as follows:

  • CNY 6,199 ($850) – 256GB storage
  • CNY 6,699 ($920) – 512GB storage
