Islamabad, Sep 22: An International Cricket Council (ICC) delegation expressed satisfaction with Pakistan’s preparations for the ICC Champions Trophy 2025, scheduled for next February, according to a report from the Associated Press of Pakistan (APP).
The delegation reviewed preparations in key cities including Lahore, Karachi, Rawalpindi, and Islamabad, and found the security arrangements satisfactory.

India is slated to play all its matches in Lahore, according to the draft schedule, despite political tensions between the two nations. The last bilateral series between India and Pakistan took place in 2012.

In preparation for the tournament, a Rs12.80 billion fund was approved to upgrade major cricket venues, including Gaddafi Stadium, National Stadium, and Pindi Cricket Stadium. A 5.8-kanal plot near Gaddafi Stadium has also been secured for building a hotel to accommodate teams in the future.

The ICC delegation, comprising Sarah Edgar, Aun Muhammad Zaidi, Wasim Khan, David Musker, and Mansoor Manj, met with PCB officials, including Usman Wahla, Khalid Mehmood, and Salma Mesud, to discuss security arrangements.

PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi assured the ICC of world-class arrangements, promising that the upgrades will be completed before the tournament and that the stadiums will offer international-standard facilities.
