Islamabad, 18 April 2025: Imad Wasim has shed light on the inspiration behind his unique wicket celebrations in the ongoing Pakistan Super League (PSL) season 10.
Speaking to the league’s official YouTube channel, the seasoned left-arm spinner shared how playful moments off the field have helped shape memorable scenes during matches.
Imad explained that the celebratory moves, which have caught fans’ attention, are not spontaneous.
Instead, they are carefully discussed and agreed upon by the players and coaching staff ahead of each game.

According to him, much of this creative energy stems from regular FIFA PlayStation matches involving teammates and management.
He noted that each squad member has been encouraged to select their own style of celebration this season.
Imad chose to pay homage to football stars Mohamed Salah and Kylian Mbappé through his gestures.
He emphasized that these planned celebrations are part of Islamabad United’s efforts to build strong team chemistry and keep the environment positive.
So far, Imad’s performances have matched his lively displays, with six wickets in three matches, including a best of 3 for 26. His form has been instrumental in United’s early success.

Accompanying him during the conversation, team captain Shadab Khan expressed satisfaction over Islamabad United’s unbeaten run at the start of the season.
With three consecutive wins under their belt, the skipper praised the balance and energy within the squad.
Shadab also highlighted the impact of West Indies all-rounder Jason Holder, calling him a proven match-winner.
He shared that Holder’s selection came after careful analysis of his record, and the veteran’s hunger and intensity have stood out in every outing.
As Islamabad United continue their campaign, it is evident that team spirit — both on and off the field — is playing a vital role in their success.
