Islamabad, Apr 27, 2025: Amid escalating tensions near the international border, Indian authorities have urgently directed farmers in Punjab to complete harvesting their crops within 48 hours.
The directive has intensified concerns among military experts, who interpret this swift action as further evidence of New Delhi’s growing “war fever”. The issue, now referred to as the India Urgent Crop Harvest, has sparked discussions on regional security risks.
Sources reveal that announcements were delivered via loudspeakers from a local gurdwara in Roranwala Khurd village, situated close to the Attari sector, neighboring Pakistan.
Residents were told to immediately finish harvesting their crops, as movement in the border belt would soon be heavily restricted.
The Border Security Force (BSF) reportedly notified villagers that field gates along the zero line would be sealed after two days. Farmers who had yet to collect their produce were warned to conclude the harvest as quickly as possible.
Military analysts believe the India Urgent Crop Harvest order highlights India’s increasing preparations for potential conflict.
A senior defense expert, speaking anonymously, commented that New Delhi’s aggressive posture shows a dangerous willingness to escalate tensions.
“While India may be keen to initiate hostilities, it should not underestimate the strength of its neighbor. Pakistan stands fully prepared to deliver a decisive response,” he remarked.
The sudden developments emerge as ties between India and Pakistan, both nuclear powers, continue to deteriorate sharply.
Experts caution that any misstep or military miscalculation could trigger severe consequences not only for South Asia but also for global peace.
Despite the escalating rhetoric from Indian circles, Pakistan’s leadership has consistently emphasized its dedication to peaceful coexistence while ensuring complete military readiness to counter any aggression.
Meanwhile, India’s Ministry of External Affairs has remained silent on the issue, offering no formal explanation regarding the abrupt India Urgent Crop Harvest order or the broader motivations behind the move.

The lack of transparency has fueled further speculation about India’s strategic intentions along the volatile border.
As the situation remains fluid, observers continue to monitor closely, warning that any further escalation could spiral into a broader conflict, with grave implications for the entire region.
