TRENDING Umrah and Ziyarah forum kicks off in Madinah today.

On Saturday, Instagram, owned by Meta, experienced a widespread outage that left thousands of users unable to access the platform for several minutes.

According to Downdetector, a website that tracks internet disruptions, more than 6,000 users in India reported issues with accessing Instagram, peaking around 12:08pm today.

Among the complaints, 57% were related to problems with Instagram’s feed, 33% had issues accessing the app altogether, and 10% encountered server connection problems. Frustrated users took to social media to express their inability to log in and reported that Instagram’s Reels feature failed to load, showing error messages instead.

Using the hashtag #InstagramDown on various platforms, users shared their frustrations, noting they couldn’t watch Insta Reels and were instead seeing random images on their feed, such as cars and natural scenes.

As of now, Meta has neither confirmed nor denied the Instagram outage, and the exact cause remains unknown with no official statement from the company.
