Islamabad, Aug 29: Recent research by mobile developer Alessandro Paluzzi suggests that Instagram may be getting ready to enhance its musical integration. Paluzzi found signs of a possible new feature—real-time Spotify integration—in the Instagram code.

According to this finding, Instagram users might soon notice Notes that are automatically created on their profiles depending on what they listen to on Spotify. Anyone viewing the user’s profile would be able to see these Notes, which are prominently displayed at the top of the user’s inbox and profile image and would give an indication of the kind of music they currently enjoy.

Despite the fact that Instagram has not yet made an official confirmation of this function, Paluzzi’s research suggests a closer connection between the popular music streaming service and Instagram.

Real-time music integration is not a wholly novel idea. Gamers’ favorite messenger software, Discord, already has a function like this. Users can presently manually post their Spotify tunes on Stories or within Notes within Instagram. Consequently, it makes sense that Instagram would want to expand on this current feature.

But there is one important distinction: user behavior. Instagram is mostly utilized for brief bursts of browsing and sharing, in contrast to Discord, which users frequently leave open for extended lengths of time. The possible benefits and uptake of real-time music integration inside the Instagram ecosystem are called into doubt by this disparity.

Remember that the feature has only been observed in Instagram’s source code, so it may take some time until it is implemented.
