During the visit, the minister revealed that the F-10 roundabout U-turn will be open to traffic by the second week of February. This development is part of broader efforts to improve traffic flow in the city and alleviate congestion at key intersections.

The Jinnah Avenue Interchange project, which includes both an underpass and a flyover, is on track for completion within 100 days, with a deadline set for February 15. The underpass is already partially completed, while work on the flyover continues. CDA Chairman Mohammad Ali Randhawa briefed the minister on the progress, highlighting the coordination between the CDA and other agencies such as NESPAK for timely delivery.

Minister Naqvi urged for the expedited construction of the flyover, stressing the importance of maintaining high-quality standards. He also directed officials to enhance beautification efforts around the areas undergoing construction, ensuring the city maintains its aesthetic appeal while improving infrastructure.

The minister also took the opportunity to review the F-10 roundabout U-turn project. The CDA has removed the old roundabout, replacing it with fish-belly U-turns on Jinnah Avenue and Nazimuddin Road, a move aimed at significantly improving traffic flow upon the flyover’s completion.

Further, in discussions on the Murree Road underpass, Minister Naqvi directed the CDA to complete the design and cost estimates for the project. A proposal for this underpass is expected to be finalized soon, with the foundation stone to be laid during the inauguration of the Serena Interchange project.

In conclusion, the minister emphasized the need for timely completion of all related works, including landscaping and horticulture around the infrastructure developments, to ensure that Islamabad’s urban planning and development maintain the highest standards.
