ISLAMABAD, JULY 31: On Wednesday, internet services face outage across Pakistan. Authorities are evaluating the issue, to know the precise source of disruption. Authorities indicated that the issue is probably not exclusive to the local networks but rather has to do with foreign traffic.

The stock exchange also shut down due to the internet issue. Meanwhile, Meta platforms, such as Facebook, WhatsApp, and Instagram, are working seamlessly while other services are disrupted.
When contacted, Nayatel reported that its services were not affected. Some southern cities experienced minor issues, which have since been resolved. The northern network, covering Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Sargodha, and Faisalabad, has faced no issues.
While some ISPs continue to have problems, others are running smoothly. The inconsistent nature of service disruption raises the possibility that the issue is limited to particular networks or geographical areas.
When this complaint was filed, IT contacted the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority to request a response. PTA sources said that PTCL staff have reported a failure in the subterranean submarine cable, which is the cause of the poor internet service speeds.
