Islamabad, Aug 30: This year has seen the lowest investment rate in the nation’s history. The National Accounts Committee certified data that shows Pakistan’s investment target was set at 15.1%, but it only reached 13.1% the lowest level in the country’s history, according to sources.

The previous lowest rate, 13.2%, was noted during the 1973–74 fiscal year. Investment returns that are intended cannot be attained unless all of the nation’s economic goals are met and political stability is guaranteed. “Investment rate” describes the portion of a nation’s gross domestic product (GDP) allocated to different economic sectors.
