Islamabad, 17 April 2025: Islamabad United maintained their unbeaten run in PSL Season 10 with a commanding 47-run win over Multan Sultans at Rawalpindi Stadium. 

Batting first, United posted an impressive 202 for 6, thanks to a brisk half-century from Sahibzada Farhan and vital late contributions by Haider Ali and Jason Holder.

Farhan, who anchored the innings early on, scored 53 from 36 balls, hitting seven boundaries and two sixes.

He shared short but effective stands with Andries Gous and Colin Munro before being dismissed in the ninth over.

Munro played a crucial role in keeping the momentum going, scoring 48 off just 25 balls. After his departure, United’s lower order added valuable runs.

Haider Ali struck a fiery 33 from 16 deliveries, while Holder chipped in during a quick 49-run stand for the sixth wicket.

In reply, Multan Sultans fell short of the target, folding for 155 in 18.4 overs despite a stable start from skipper Mohammad Rizwan.

The top-order batter made 38 off 27 balls, but his dismissal in the 11th over triggered a collapse. Sultans lost their last six wickets for just 59 runs.

Usman Khan provided early support to Rizwan with a 20-ball 31, but the middle-order struggled under pressure.

Iftikhar Ahmed tried to salvage the innings with a fighting 32, yet no one else offered resistance.

Jason Holder led United’s bowling attack with figures of 4 for 25, making full use of the conditions.

Imad Wasim picked up two wickets, while Shadab Khan, Muhammad Shahzad, Naseem Shah, and Riley Meredith claimed one each.

With this win, Islamabad United sit firmly at the top of the table, while Multan Sultans remain winless after two matches.
