Islamabad, Sep 19: Muhammad Zohaib Khan, the chairman of the Pakistan Software Houses Association (P@SHA), has informed the IT sector nationwide that a new 10-member central executive committee (CEC) has been elected for the 2024–2026 term. The current CEC’s term ends on September 30, 2024.

The results were declared by P@SHA Secretary General Nadeem Malik following vote tallying in Islamabad, Lahore, and Karachi; the election for the office bearers of the highest IT body is scheduled for September 23, 2024. On October 1st, 2024, the new office bearers and CEC of P@SHA would assume leadership, he continued.

The outgoing chairman, Zohaib Khan, congratulated the CEC-elect for carrying on the tradition of the nation’s most promising and rapidly growing industry, which set a record with $3.2 billion in exports in FY24.

Since 1992, the Pakistan Software Houses Association for IT & ITES (P@SHA) has served as the country’s only trade association for the IT and IT-enabled services industries. Its mandate is to collaborate with the government on policy matters and with all other relevant parties to advance the IT industry. It also aims to develop venues that expand the opportunities available to ecosystem members, both locally and globally.

Furthermore, P@SHA is the only organization in the Pakistani IT sector that is registered with and accepted by organizations like ASOCIO (Asian Oceanic Computing Industry Organization) and WISTA (World Information Technology and Services Alliance).
