The luminous eyes and simple characteristics of the robot are attached to a vehicle that can drive on railroad rails. Its primary responsibilities will be painting metal frames and pruning tree branches.This novel strategy aims to address Japan’s aging labor force while enhancing safety by lowering the likelihood of mishaps. The robot is a component of the business’s attempts to efficiently maintain infrastructure in the face of a labor shortage.

Kazuaki Hasegawa, president of the company, stressed that this project has the potential to drastically alter how infrastructure maintenance is done.West Japan Railway aims to ensure that maintenance work is completed more securely and effectively by utilizing robots for such duties.
