Islamabad, Nov 7: Karachi Board Extends Matric Exam Deadline Again

The deadline to submit forms for the matriculation exam has been extended for the second time, and there will be no late fee.

The Acting Director of Examinations, Zaheeruddin Bhutto, declared on Wednesday that the revised submission period for examination forms for the annual Class IX exams in 2025, which includes both science and general groups, will take place from November 6 to November 19, 2024.

This extension is available for both regular and private candidates, permitting government schools to submit forms during this timeframe without incurring any late fees.

Bhutto emphasized that this will be the last extension, and no additional delays for submitting forms will be allowed. According to the timeline established by the provincial education department, the matriculation exams for 2025 are anticipated to occur in March.

Students who do not meet the deadline will face a late fee that will increase over time. Between November 20 and December 3, a late fee of Rs 500 will be charged; from December 4 to December 17, the fee will escalate to Rs 800; it will be Rs 1,200 from December 18 to January 1, 2025; Rs 1,500 from January 2 to January 15; Rs 1,800 from January 16 to January 24; and Rs 2,500 for any submissions made after this final date.
