Islamabad, Feb 11: Karachi Police have issued a detailed traffic management plan for the upcoming Tri-Nation Series and Champions Trophy matches set to take place at the National Stadium. The matches are scheduled on February 12-14, February 19-21, and March 1.

Traffic Plan & Alternative Routes

To ensure smooth traffic flow, Karachi Traffic Police have introduced alternative routes and designated parking areas. Sir Shah Suleman Road will remain open for routine traffic, while heavy vehicles will be restricted from certain routes.

  • Parking Arrangements:
    • Visitors arriving from Karsazcan park at the National Coaching Center and China Ground by passing under the flyover.
    • Those coming from Millenniumwill also use the same parking spots.
    • New Townvisitors can access these designated parking areas as well.

Authorities have urged the public to only park in designated areas to prevent traffic congestion. Commuters should plan ahead and follow official instructions for a seamless experience.

Traffic Diversions & Heavy Vehicle Restrictions

To manage congestion, heavy traffic diversions have been put in place:

  • From Sohrab Goth to Nipa and Liaquatabad No. 10 to Hassan Square
  • From People’s Chowrangi via University Road

Additionally, the following routes will remain closed to heavy traffic:

  • Karsaz to National Stadium
  • Millennium to New Town
  • Stadium Signal to Hassan Square

Motorists are advised to stay updated on traffic conditions and cooperate with law enforcement to avoid delays. Karachi Police are committed to ensuring a hassle-free experience for both match attendees and daily commuters.
