Islamabad, Sep 15: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police Ban Social Media for Officers.

The letter made clear that accessing TikTok, Instagram, WhatsApp, YouTube, and other social media platforms is forbidden for officers and officials.

In keeping with worries about standard operating procedure (SOP) violations, the directive also prohibits posting police badges or other identifiable evidence on social media.

The letter requests departmental action against individuals who violate the new policy, noting that multiple officers have been found to be in violation of these SOPs.

The police hierarchy has made it clear that using social media puts officers’ safety at danger and damages the force’s reputation.

By guaranteeing tight adherence to SOPs and protecting the department’s reputation and operational security, the new policy seeks to address these problems.
