Islamabad, Oct 23: King Salman Relief Centre to Construct 1,000 Permanent Homes in KP and Punjab. A significant project to construct 1,000 permanent homes for families in Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa who were uprooted by the disastrous floods of 2022 has been launched by the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief).
In order to rebuild communities and promote resilience throughout Pakistan, KSrelief announced a number of public facilitation projects, of which this project is a component. The news was made during a recent occasion where KSrelief’s Assistant Supervisor General of Operations, Engineer Ahmed Ali Al-Baiz, signed Cooperation Programs (JCP) with Pakistan’s National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) to formally launch the program.
Each of the 1,000 homes has two rooms. Approximately 7,000 people should have safe, long-term accommodation with a kitchen and a bathroom. Concentrates on areas of Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa that have experienced flooding, with 410 homes in Rajanpur and Dera Ghazi Khan (Punjab) and 590 homes in Dera Ismail Khan (KP).
This King Salman relief effort seeks to improve the long-term well-being of impacted communities and aid in the recovery process by offering safe, resilient homes.
