Islamabad, Apr 28, 2025: The Workers Welfare Board of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has revealed its yearly performance report, highlighting that 17 workers from different sectors across the province will be fully funded for Hajj this year.

As per the report, the government will bear the Hajj-related expenses, totaling Rs. 18.79 million.

The document outlines the financial assistance offered over the past year, including Rs627.5 million allocated for the higher education of 1,578 workers’ children, Rs131 million in marriage grants to 341 workers, and Rs30 million set aside for death grants in 44 cases.

In addition, the Ministry of Religious Affairs has issued a warning to the public about fake Hajj permits.

The report also mentions that 21,587 students have enrolled in Working Folks Grammar Schools for the 2024-25 academic session.

Furthermore, Rs191.7 million has been earmarked for books, uniforms, and transportation for these students.

In addition, the Labour Department’s findings revealed outstanding academic results, with a 94% pass rate in matriculation exams at Working Folks Schools — 1,141 students out of 1,220 succeeded.

In the Intermediate exams, 445 out of 464 students passed.
