Islamabad, Aug 26: The final arrangements have been made to run government schools in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa under a public-private partnership (PPP).

Documents show that the feasibility study for 24 schools in the province is finished.
Eight primary schools have been determined to be appropriate for the PPP model in the first phase.

The PPP model will be used to run two schools each in Abbottabad and Haripur, as well as one each in D.I. Khan, Dir, and Lakki Marwat. According to documents from the Education Department, the KP province has about 4.7 million unenrolled students, and each student in the area pays about Rs. 41,055 a month for their education.

The goal of switching to the PPP model is to lessen the financial load while raising educational standards.

Officials from the Education Department claimed that schools operating in a public-private partnership would have access to the greatest facilities and would have better management.
