Islamabad, Dec 13: Nawaf bin Said Al-Malki, the Saudi ambassador to Pakistan, reaffirmed the Kingdom’s commitment to aiding Pakistan on Friday at an event hosted by the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) at the embassy to launch a food security initiative for 2024–2025.
“It is my pleasure to participate in this ceremony on behalf of my country, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, to hand over 147,500 food packages as a gift to the brotherly country, Pakistan,” Ambassador Al-Malki said as he addressed the crowd. These food baskets will be given to those in need in all four of Pakistan’s provinces, including Azad Kashmir and Gilgit Baltistan.
He claimed that the program, which is headed by KSrelief, demonstrates Saudi Arabia’s dedication to international humanitarian endeavors. He noted that the center, which has led the way in providing humanitarian aid globally, is still committed to helping Pakistan.
“The KSrelief also provides noble services to the brotherly nation of Pakistan and its people, supporting them through thick and thin,” the envoy stated. According to him, the food security program is anticipated to help thousands of people in need and deepen the long-standing relationship between Saudi Arabia and Pakistan.
