Islamabad, Dec 19: The National Database Registration Authority (NADRA) is the official organization responsible for issuing the National Identity Card for Overseas Pakistanis (NICOP).
The NICOP is designed for Pakistani citizens who plan to travel or reside abroad. Any Pakistani national can apply for this card, which allows dual nationals to enter Pakistan without a visa. A valid passport number is required to apply for a Smart NICOP.
Applications can be submitted at NADRA offices in Pakistan, while overseas Pakistanis can apply at their respective consulates or through the online platform.
NADRA has divided countries into two zones: Zone A, including Western nations like Canada, and Zone B, which covers Arab nations like Saudi Arabia and the UAE.

As of December 18, 2024, the NICOP fee structure remains unchanged.

- Normal fee: $20 (75 Riyals)
- Urgent fee: $30 (110 Riyals)
- Executive fee: $40 (150 Riyals)

- Urgent fee: Rs8,346
- Executive fee: Rs11,128
- Zone A Countries:
- Normal processing: $39
- Urgent processing: $57
- Executive processing: $75
Application Process at NRCs
- Collect a token.
- Get your photograph taken.
- Provide fingerprints and signatures.
- Complete data entry.
- Verify the printed form and submit the application.
Online Application via Pak Identity
Applicants can conveniently apply for a Smart NICOP online through the Pak Identity website, which also offers doorstep delivery services.
