Islamabad, Nov 27: LDA Cracks Down, 96 Properties Sealed, Several Demolished in Major Operation. In addition to tearing down numerous unlawful construction projects in different parts of the provincial capital, the Lahore Development Authority (LDA) sealed 96 properties on Thursday.

 

Under DG LDA Tahir Farooq’s guidance, LDA teams have been performing daily operations, securing properties, and tearing down unauthorized buildings in different locations. 96 properties were sealed as a result of the LDA teams’ efforts in a number of locations, including Gulberg, New Garden Town, Faisal Town, Allama Iqbal Town, Shadman, and Gulshan Ravi.

 

Thirty properties were sealed in Shadman and Gulshan Ravi, thirty properties were sealed in Allama Iqbal Town, and thirty properties were sealed in Gulberg, New Garden Town, and Faisal Town. Private schools, workplaces, cafes, bakeries, dining establishments, supermarkets, pharmacies, salons, retail establishments, and more are among the properties that have been sealed.

 

Along with the properties that were sealed, LDA personnel also destroyed a number of unauthorized buildings in places like College Road Township, Wapda Town, and Defence Road. These properties received several reminders before any action was taken, allowing the owners an opportunity to correct the infractions.

 

The operation was overseen by Chief Town Planner II Azhar Ali and Chief Town Planner Asad-ul-Zaman. Tahir Farooq, DG LDA, stressed that efforts against unapproved constructions, commercial tax defaulters, and illegal commercial buildings will not stop. He declared, “We are dedicated to implementing stringent measures to guarantee legal building and development practices.”
