Islamabad, Dec 28: A leaked image of the iPhone 17 Pro has emerged, revealing a preview of its front design, marking the first major update since the iPhone 14 Pro. While rumors about potential changes to the camera system, including the possibility of a horizontal island or retaining the current stovetop design, continue to circulate, the leaked image mainly showcases the front-facing features.
The most notable update is the smaller Dynamic Island, which will replace the current larger cutout. This new design is made possible by metalens technology, which uses nanostructured materials to manipulate light. Unlike traditional lenses, metalens are thinner and lighter, allowing Apple to create a narrower Dynamic Island without losing functionality.
Additionally, the iPhone 17 Pro is expected to have thinner bezels, bringing it closer to an all-glass front design, although this may not happen immediately. Interestingly, only the iPhone 17 Pro Max may include the metalens, while the rest of the lineup might retain the current Dynamic Island design.
As Apple prepares for its upcoming release, the iPhone 17 Pro looks set to introduce significant design changes. However, reports about the potential updates to the camera array remain mixed. Whether these rumors turn out to be true is yet to be seen, but the iPhone 17 Pro is already poised to represent a major leap forward in Apple’s design evolution.
