Islamabad, Dec 18: Live photos of the Samsung Galaxy S25+ have been leaked, sparking speculation about a unique design feature.
A recessed area beneath the side buttons has drawn attention, with some speculating it could be a Camera Control button, similar to the touchpad introduced on recent iPhones.
However, a more practical explanation has emerged. Although the original post from X has been removed, the leak appears credible, given the model number visible in the images.
The recessed area is likely the mmWave 5G antenna, as the model number SM-S936U indicates this is the US version of the device.
Like the SM-S926U (Galaxy S24+), this version would need the antenna to support high-speed mmWave 5G networks in the United States, and manufacturers typically place these antennas in this location for design efficiency.
Aside from this detail, the overall design of the Galaxy S25+ seems to closely resemble its predecessor. In contrast to the S25 Ultra, which is expected to feature larger, more pronounced rings around its camera lenses, the S25+ retains the simpler design seen in the S24 series.
Leaks also suggest that the Galaxy S25 and S25+ models will not see major camera upgrades. Samsung is expected to follow its usual schedule and announce the Galaxy S25 series in January 2025. As the launch date approaches, more information about the devices’ features, designs, and improvements will become available.
