Islamabad, Dec 16: Lotte Chemical Pakistan Limited (PSX: LOTCHEM) has announced an extension of its plant operations suspension until December 22, 2024, as per a notification to the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX).
The company had initially planned a temporary shutdown from November 16 to December 15, 2024. However, in a recent update, the suspension has been extended by an additional week.
The company explained that this shutdown is part of a planned strategy to optimize inventory levels and perform essential maintenance tasks.
Lotte Chemical Pakistan is primarily involved in the production and sale of Pure Terephthalic Acid (PTA), a crucial raw material used in making polyester fibers, films, and resins.
