Islamabad, Oct 12: Maryam Nawaz Announces Insulin Delivery for Children with Type-1 Diabetes

She disclosed that special cards would be issued to guarantee the delivery of insulin to unwell youngsters during a special health sector conference on Friday.

Distribution will be handled by the government-approved business, which will follow other SOPs and cold chain regulations. Three districts, including Lahore, will host the trial project’s debut. Applications can be obtained through a special app or helpline.

Furthermore, in an effort to improve healthcare in isolated areas, Maryam Nawaz oversaw the renaming of Basic Health Units (BHUs) as “Maryam Nawaz Health Clinics.” She gave her approval for the creation of KPIs and performance management frameworks to track how well healthcare employees are performing.

She also approved the building of labs in hospitals in Jhang, Attock, Mianwali, Layyah, and Jhelum. The chief minister urged girls to be brave and aspirational on International Girls’ Day, highlighting the critical role that females will play in the future of the country.
