Islamabad, Apr 30, 2025: The Balochistan Cabinet has granted approval for the announcement of vacant government roles ranging from grade 1 to grade 15, aiming to create more job opportunities across the province.

In a significant decision, the cabinet has instructed the immediate release of available wheat stock into the market to guarantee a steady supply of this crucial food item.

However, it has refrained from any additional wheat procurement to maintain the current reserves.

Moreover, the cabinet has allocated Rs. 140 million to the Quetta Safe City Project and has set a completion deadline for June.

The meeting, led by Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti, convened at the Chief Minister’s Secretariat to discuss national and provincial concerns, and ratified several key resolutions.

The cabinet also expressed strong condemnation of India’s claims against Pakistan following the Pahalgam incident.

Ministers voiced their displeasure over India’s aggressive stance, despite Pakistan’s offer for transparent investigations, warning that such actions could destabilize the region.

In addition, the cabinet extended heartfelt condolences to the families affected by the tragic Nushki event and praised the swift actions of health and rescue teams during the relief efforts.

To address the issue of smuggling in the province, the cabinet vowed immediate measures and launched a comprehensive inquiry into the Nushki incident.

Several administrative and legal reforms were also approved, including the creation of a specialized court to protect the property rights of overseas Pakistanis, modifications to the Anti-Terrorism Act, and the establishment of a Center of Excellence for Countering Extremism.

Further enhancements were made to policies benefiting civil servants and employees.

In the environmental domain, the cabinet sanctioned new regulations, including a Ship Recycling Law, initiatives to eradicate bonded labor, and measures to ensure the rights of individuals with disabilities.

This comprehensive approach highlights the cabinet’s commitment to improving governance, economic stability, and the protection of citizens’ rights.
