Islamabad, 1: Massive raid at Karachi airport the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Immigration apprehended eight passengers attempting to fly to Saudi Arabia and Azerbaijan using counterfeit documents.

Among those arrested was a police officer from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, who intended to travel to Germany.

Four women, led by a suspect named Akram, were caught while trying to travel to Saudi Arabia under the pretext of performing Umrah, with plans to beg in the country.

Further investigation revealed that a counterfeit German visa was discovered on Mohammad Hussain’s mobile phone.

After arriving in Pakistan, many reportedly sought visas from embassies and consulates in Islamabad, Lahore, and Karachi, intending to travel onward to countries such as the United States and Japan.

The suspects were reportedly planning to obtain on-arrival German visas in Azerbaijan after paying between Rs300,000 and Rs800,000.

According to FIA officials, the Afghan nationals exploited the suspension of Pakistan’s visit visas for Afghan citizens by using forged medical certificates to gain entry under the guise of seeking treatment.

The accused, along with the recovered drugs, was handed over to the Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) for further legal action. The seized heroin is estimated to be worth millions in the international market.
