Islamabad, Dec 5: The Sindh School Education and Literacy Department has unveiled the schedule for matric and intermediate exams for the academic year 2025-26. The dates were confirmed following a meeting of the Steering Committee of the Sindh Education Department.
- Matric Exams: The 9th and 10th grade examinations will commence on March 15, 2025.
- Intermediate Exams: Examinations for intermediate students will begin on April 15, 2025.
- Result Announcement: Results for matric exams will be declared on July 15, 2025, and for intermediate exams, on August 15, 2025.
- Academic Year Start: The new academic year for Sindh schools will begin in April 2025, while colleges will start on August 1, 2025.
In a related issue, Sindh Education Minister Sardar Shah disclosed in September that floods had severely damaged 50% of schools in the province. He highlighted that unlike Punjab, which remained unaffected by floods, Sindh faced substantial infrastructural damage, leaving many government schools unfit for use. Shah further mentioned that the province lacks adequate funds under the Annual Development Program (ADP) to repair the damaged schools.
