Islamabad, Oct 3: Minister Naqvi Meets Australian High Commissioner to Discuss Bilateral Cooperation. Australian High Commissioner Neil Hawkins met with Federal Minister of Interior Mohsin Naqvi on Thursday at the Ministry of Interior to discuss areas of mutual interest, bilateral relations, etc.

Upon arrival, Naqvi Meets Australian High Commissioner. Bilateral connections and topics of shared interest were thoroughly explored during the meeting. It was decided to strengthen border management and anti-human trafficking cooperation. The designation of Australian Capital Territory and Islamabad Capital Territory as sister cities was also under consideration.The Pakistani cricket team is scheduled to visit Australia on October 30, according to Mohsin Naqvi, who expressed the hope that the tour will offer both nations’ citizens a great chance to watch thrilling matches.

He added that Pakistani women cricket players will be granted No Objection Certificates (NOCs) so they can play in the Women Big Bash League in Australia. Australia would cooperate in training, young women’s cricket, and blind cricket team, according to Australian High Commissioner Neil Hawkins. The Interior Minister was also given a cricket bat signed by the Australian cricket team by the Australian High Commissioner.

According to the interior minister, a whole team has been sent in to monitor borders and combat human trafficking; they are working day and night to stop people from sneaking themselves into Australia and other nations. He continued by saying that the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) is working to strengthen its capabilities in this area.

Neil Hawkins, the Australian High Commissioner, suggested that Pakistan may gain from Australia’s cutting-edge equipment and border management strategies. Interior accepted the offer made by the High Commissioner. It was decided by both parties that the Joint Working Group meeting will take place in Australia in December. The Minister of Interior also stated that Pakistan is making every effort to facilitate the resettlement of Afghan refugees in Australia.
