Islamabad, Nov 4: Mohsin Naqvi Praises Gaddafi Stadium Renovations
Mohsin Naqvi, the chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), stated his delight with the ongoing renovations at Gaddafi Stadium and his confidence that the stadium will be ready for the ICC Champions Trophy the next year.
During his visit, Naqvi gave officials instructions to improve the stadium’s external appearance and give priority to large parking facilities.
The chairman also looked over the rapid renovations in the main building and stadium enclosures, where flooring is almost finished. Naqvi received a thorough progress report from the project director.
The stadium’s design and development plan were later evaluated at a meeting that Naqvi chaired at the FWO camp headquarters.
About half of the Gaddafi Stadium Upgrade Project has been finished, according to officials who gave Naqvi an update on the project’s status.
The flooring phases of the main and office buildings are almost finished, and work on the enclosures and main building floors is proceeding at a faster rate.
In preparation for the champions trophy the following year, Gaddafi Stadium and Karachi’s National Bank Cricket Arena are getting significant renovations.
With the December 31st deadline drawing near, PCB is certain that it will finish all the requirements before submitting a thorough presentation to the ICC.
