ISLAMABAD, AUGUST 6: According to Pakistan Oilfields Limited (POL) and PSX on Tuesday, the Hungarian Oil and Gas Public Limited Company MOL Group has found hydrocarbons as a result of a Drill Stem Test (DST) carried out at the Razgir-1 well in the Kawagarh formation located in Kohat District.

Twenty-five percent is Pakistan Oilfields Limited’s pre-commerciality operating interest.

Prior to beginning any acid stimulation work, the well tested 16.40 MMscf of gas per day and 159 barrels of condensate per day at a fixed choke size of 40/64 at 1,874 psi. To determine the well’s actual potential, testing activities are currently ongoing.

The process of separating and evaluating the nearby geological formations through the drill stem is known as a Drill Stem Test (DST). By measuring the pressure behavior at the drill stem, the test provides valuable information on fluid sampling and helps determine the likelihood of commercial production. It should be remembered as a result that real production may differ greatly from test results.
