Islamabad, Sep 1: According to an advice released by the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA), monsoon rains will persist throughout Pakistan from September 2 to September 5.
The authorities have issued warnings about urban and low-lying areas flooding.
The monsoon rain system is predicted to impact several areas during this time, with moderate rainfall most likely in northeastern Punjab, according to the National Emergencies Operations Centre. In Pothohar, Lahore, Faisalabad, Gujranwala, Rawalpindi, and Islamabad, there will likely be light rain.
Light to heavy rainfall is possible in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, especially in the Malakand and Hazara divisions; Balochistani areas, such as the Qalat division, Quetta, Pishin, and the Kirthar and Koh Suleiman ranges, are also likely to have light to heavy precipitation.
In northern Sindh, light to moderate rainfall is anticipated, according to the alert. During the monsoon season, the rains may cause urban flooding, flooding in low-lying areas, and other related dangers.
The public was asked by the NDMA to remain up to current on weather alerts and updates. It is urged that residents in high-risk locations exercise caution and heed local authorities’ instructions. All pertinent departments have received instructions from the NDMA to maintain vigilance and carry out public safety precautions.
